Hyundai Motor Co. unveiled Genesis, a luxury sports sedan, at a special test drive preview for the Korean media. The car features a rear wheel drive architecture and numerous technical innovations, including the new Tau V-8 engine which will deliver 375 horsepower to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai’s V-6 Lambda engines will also be offered in 3.3- and 3.8-liter editions. The company also unveiled the Genesis emblem consisting of the Genesis logotype set in a black hexagonal shield framed by a pair of wings which will, however only be applied to the Korean and Chinese markets. Genesis will be sold in Korea, China and North America.
